CarboSource places mobile pyrolysis units near biomass sources to reduce unnecessary aggregation and long-distance biomass movement.

Most biochar projects start with a reactor looking for biomass. CarboSource starts with biomass looking for trustworthy infrastructure.

Carbotor doesn't just make biochar — CarboSource turns the business into a deployment that evolves into a partnership. CarboSource is the spine of the company: Carbotor equips, trains, and evidences; the partner operates and produces.

How CarboSource works

A deployment that evolves into a partnership.

  1. Manufacture — Carbotor builds, or has built, the equipment: mobile pyro unit (MPU) and small/medium kilns.
  2. Qualify — CarboSource assesses the applicant against criteria: on-site infrastructure and biomass reality.
  3. Deploy — places the right unit for that site (MPU or small/medium kiln) under programme terms; deployed, not sold.
  4. Train — operator and partner training (CharMaker pathway).
  5. Onboard — the partner's operators and records are onboarded into Akshaya Dhara — the field surface for farmers and charmakers, and the review views for small/medium/industrial producers — powered by the Chamelion evidence engine.
  6. Partnership — the deployment evolves into an ongoing partnership, not a one-time sale.
  7. Evidence — built to capture every batch through Akshaya Dhara, sealed by the Chamelion evidence engine — tamper-evident from the first mile.
What CarboSource is

Carbotor's deployment programme, placed at the source.

CarboSource is Carbotor's deployment programme for placing source-side biochar infrastructure where biomass already exists: deployment-site evaluation, placement, local facilitation, operator training, field-evidence coordination, and programme administration.

Where residue biomass is generated on-site or nearby, Carbotor deploys a unit at the site under programme terms. The equipment remains on Carbotor's balance sheet. It is deployed, not sold.

Built for sites where biomass is generated.

CarboSource may suit FPOs, agro-industrial mills, plantations, forestry and forest-department-linked sites, municipal green-waste programmes, and SME/industrial sites with recurring residue — and individual charmaker clusters only where supervised and programme-ready.

Farmer Producer Organisations

Suitable where biomass supply is continuous, member-linked, and locally organised around a defined operating base.

Forest departments

Suitable where biomass recovery, land-restoration objectives, and institutional oversight already exist.

Plantation cooperatives and agro-industrial mills

Suitable where residue streams are concentrated enough to support structured on-site deployment under programme terms.

Municipal green-waste programmes

Suitable where biomass handling is already organised and verification discipline can be maintained over time.

Qualification logic

Qualification depends on biomass continuity, site readiness, operator availability, and programme fit — not on interest alone. The programme is selective and qualification-led — one path across the full range, from individual charmakers and FPOs to SME and industrial-scale sites.

  • CharMaker operator training and commissioning support from Kakinada. (The training applies to this deployment only; independent commercial operation requires a separate agreement.)
  • Ongoing technical support, carbon-methodology aligned.
What the source partner receives
  • Commercial terms are defined per individual agreement and depend on site evaluation, project data, applicable standards, and independent third-party verification.
  • Biochar availability for local agronomic or community use.
  • Review-ready dMRV record tied to the source site.

CarboSource is structured as a deployment programme. Carbotor operates the system, the source partner contributes biomass and site conditions, and the Chamelion evidence engine maintains the record.
